Working outside at last

I’ve got myself a place in the front yard where I can work now.  It is really nice to be able to work out in the yard rather than be cooped up in the house all of the time.  I set up the picnic table by the corner of the house near where the outside power outlet is, so I can set at it and work on my laptop.  I also fenced in the yard, so now the puppies can run and play out there and I can work and keep an eye on them while still focusing on what I am working on.  It is very very nice.

I just wish the 7 day forecast was not saying there is a chance of more snow. :-/ I’m sick of winter, let’s have some spring already.

Ever had one of those days?

My head was zoned out all day today, developing sinus headache that lingered at the ‘developing’ stage all day and night. I finally stressed out, snapping and yelling at people, then drank three Slim Fast just for the chocolate milk factor and am finally about to collapse into bed. Wonder if I can stay in bed all week? How about just all day tomorrow? Nah, yer right, never happen. Better get some sleep while I can.

Changes Coming

I have some changes coming to The Writing Office.  I will be rearranging the site over the next few weeks to make it more of a working writer’s resource for what they need to know about writing - particularly from a home office.

April 15th is in the past now

Time to get to work on the taxes.  No, not next year’s taxes, although that is still a consideration, I am talking about working on this year’s taxes under the extension.  I filed an extension to give me a bit more time to sort things out, and it is a good thing I did because in the last two days of cleaning the office up from the other taxes I had done for people I have found three piles of receipts tucked away into nooks and crannies that I had not noticed before now.  I need to get them entered into my spreadsheet program and organized so they can be accounted for along with the rest of my business expenses for 2007.

I have also decided I am going to shift things around here at The Writing Office and move my blog off the main page and instead create a resource for writers to find out what they need to know about working - particularly from a home office.  So watch in the coming weeks for a complete rebuild of this website that will make it more focused for what I had in mind when I first started it.
